Otherwise, Mike Rowe’s really great Ted Talk, is another way to look at things. Do what you can prosper at, and the happiness takes care of itself.
The choice is yours, and it is a choice, but the thing you don’t want to do is work at a job that you hate and not prosper in the process. That is purgatory.
