We’ve got some bad (or at least, bad-ish) news in the human behavior department:
Apparently, you can say “don’t shoot the messenger” all you want, it’ll make no difference.The research is in, people shoot the messenger, anyway. The poor dears can’t help it.
What does this mean? Not much, other than, well, at least now you know, and can plan accordingly. It means, congratulations! You now have one less illusion to carry around with you.
As we travel through life, we may not get younger or prettier, but at least we get to drop our illusions along the way. Now you know why Grandpa was so chilled out all the time…
