A milestone of sorts was reached, I suppose, at least for me…
Earlier today, my book became the NUMBER ONE Top Seller on Amazon in the “Creativity” category. I don’t expect it to stay up there forever, of course- it’s probably already fallen a few points since then [Amazon rankings are updated hourly, and tend to fluctuate wildly]. But to see the photographic evidence, I made a little screen shot here. What does this mean? Not much, in all likelihood. But I think I will go take the rest of the day off… Thanks for all your support over the years. Seriously.
Congratulations. I only discovered this site four days ago and, as I type, I’m impatiently waiting for your book to arrive. What I’ve seen thus far online, etc., has been very impressive and very inspiring. Looking forward to a good read.
Well, dust off my James Thurber and call me a lemming, but I think I may have only just this minute posted a review (of sorts) of your book on my fledgling, sure to succumb to the elements, blahg. Hearty congratulations on your well-deserved success.
Dude, kudos. You earned it.
Congratulations, your blog is always an interesting read. I don’t know if this is a complement or not but you always remind me of a college professor. The ideas you have are out there, but you have conviction enough to live the ideas yourself.
That’s fantastic! Congratulations and yeah, take that day off in style 🙂
Ah creativity, just below abuse and just above dreams etc.
It’s time celebrate and hit Harry’s Tinaja for some Stormhoek. Thanks for the signed copy. It arrived last weekend via my visiting brother.
Cheers…
Congratulations. And I thought I’d done well when my novel was listed as a hot title by my own publisher. You win!
Hey man, I bought the book on Amazon last week, finished it yesterday. Loved it! Blake Burris at Cohabitat recommended that I read it, glad he did. Keep up the good work! -Ajay
Congratulations! I like knowing I helped make that possible. (thanks to your pre-order the book & get a signed copy free promo)
The thing I noted and tweeted was that “Drawing From The Right Side Of The Brain” is in that category. Good company. Good company. For all your fluffery and humanistic ego, your substance really is profound, Hugh. I’m glad that might be getting through to you.
Peace.
