Nice. A pair of Australian academics claim to have discovered that companies led by actual inventors produce more innovation.
We already know that the main job of a CEO is not to do any of the work the company is known for, but to *inform the behaviors* of the people doing the actual work.
In other words, if you’re in the innovation business (as we all are, really), there’s no point having a CEO who can’t walk the walk, simply because one won’t have the necessary tools in one’s arsenal.
‘Nuff said.
