There’s a book of drawing exercises called You Can Draw In Thirty Days.
The premise is, if you do an exercise every day for thirty days, you’ll finish the book much more drawing-capable than you started. And, it’s true, if you put the work in, you’ll see results.
Such is any and every skill. Every single skill there ever was can be learned, but no skill can be perfected without talent.
Whether we are excellent or average or beginners or afraid to start, that’s a choice we’ve made. Because, ultimately, life is a series of exercises.
We choose whether or not to open the book.
