The great English novelist, Kingsley Amis once opined that jazz irrevocably lost its mojo as a major cultural force in 1941, when the musicians started first playing their instruments with their backs to the audience.
i.e. When the musicians started *making it about them*.
“Do unto others” isn’t just about being nicer. It’s also about living more fully and powerfully.
