Lots of things can be taught, especially if we’re talking skills, but ‘soft skills’ are something you either have or don’t.
The ultimate candidate is the one with the perfect fit: the employee who brings out the best in their teammates, who wants to learn, who has killer expertise and is attached to their team’s goals.
We want someone great at their job and working with a team.
Without being good at what you do, you’re a difficult sell, but if we can’t work with you, then there’s nothing to talk about.
Soft skills are definitely learnable, teachable, acquirable. Otherwise, how would humans get to obtain them?
