I think the jumping sharks would also work for Paul Allen.
The idea that the next big thing might be thousands of little things drives these VCs into a frothing frenzy – “all your web are belong to us”.

Meanwhile Google is joining the ranks of GM and MSFT with (Amazon) Jeff Baar’s ‘Google cant Google’.
