The most sought-after jobs tend to come with two parts:

The sexy, glamorous part (fancy Paris/New York/Tokyo offices, Italian suits, expensive client dinners, business class travel etc).

The very unsexy, unglamorous part i.e. the stuff they’re actually paying you for, which is more often a lot harder and more time consuming than it looks from the outside.
The sexy part is what your mom talks about when she tells people how proud she is.
The unsexy part, though?
That’s the part that you go home with at night.
That’s the part that’s supposed to really make your job worth it.
