[N.B. in the UK, “pants” means “underpants”, as opposed to “trousers”.]
This is the best piece of marketing I’ve seen for a while. Thanks to Eaon Pritchard for sharing.
What makes it so utterly disarming is its simplicity, whimsy and humanity. Nothing more. It’s not particularly “clever”, which is exactly what makes it so brilliant.
And in case you were wondering, yes, it is indeed a Social Object.
If I drank 20 cups of coffee I would probably need new pants. So nice idea.
OMG, compared to some Miami Beach thongs, they look like hospital gowns! Seriously, this is indeed brilliant.
which ones did you choose?
Hi Hugh. I’m doing a little training/test with some folks, so I wanted to post a comment.
Nice pants.
That`s rubbish. In Japan they would have made a schoolgirl wear them first. Or as the comedian said, “I `m not a pervert, I`m a specialist…”
I like the pair with the cats on them. In Britain do cats translate to pussy? I mean, what a leading line about the cats on my pants the ladies could use. Would you like to see my twin pussies? Just curious. They have such a quaint language the Brits. Selling out of a briefcase on a stand is also very catching. Novel in a new world kind of way. This could work well for a lot of products and has a potential Madison Ave. magnet reaching out. “iPods and Cellphones at a Discount Here” – one on every street corner ala Starbucks. Low overhead, saturation marketing. Hmmm ….
