I was never that smart or talented at anything, I was never a genius or particularly good at school.
But when I was about nine years old, I realized that I was quite good at using my imagination, or at least, doing so made me happier than most kids my age.
And back then, in Miss Lucity’s Third Grade class, the easiest and most fun way you got to use your imagination was by drawing.
And so I drew and drew and drew.
No, I never got that good at it, never acquired massive academic art skills.
But I never quit either, even when I was told in no uncertain terms by certain elders, that it would be wiser if I did so.
I just carried on regardless, because like I said, I like using my imagination.
And so here we are.
