When you’re in business, you’re perpetually looking for a positive outcome. This could be more money, more innovation, more sales, more clients, more publicity, whatever.
And though positive outcomes are helpful and lovely, it’s dangerous if that’s the only thing you’re interested in.
Because that’s not why you got into the business in the first place. You got in it because it ignited something deep within you- something unleashed your curiosity.
The happiest people in business are the ones who are able to connect it to some deeper, human sense of meaning.
But if you’re not like that, if you’re REALLY REALLY REALLY only in it for the end result, well, God help you.
