People think that the reason organizations are successful is because they’re bigger, meaner, and or smarter than the other guys. That has some special technology, special product, or that they just got lucky somewhere along the line.
Well, that all may be true, kinda. But most of the time, there’s an even simpler reason: Social Capital.
In other words, organizations where people are more inclined to help each other are more likely to be successful; to be creative, be innovative, all that good stuff.
That’s how you really change the world in the end: People, not stuff. Exactly.
