Our dear friend, Jerry Colonna (a former VC and current business coach), has a great “Reboot” podcast which I highly urge you to listen to.
Jerry’s not about telling others what to do or how to do it- a human “listicle”, as it were. His strength is asking people why they’re doing it in the first place. He finds the reasons why people start a business more interesting than the actual business itself.
This image speaks of that as well. Having a great business for its own sake, on its own, is an empty experience, but having it connected to something higher (and yes, wanting a great life is a higher purpose) is meaningful.
