If you’re in world that changes constantly (which you are, like it or not), it stands to reason that you be change-ready at all times, because change happens, at the drop of the hat.
And if you can do so more than your competition, even better.
The thing to remember is, being emotionally prepared is far more important than being physically prepared. Sure, you can make all the preparation you want, but if your heart’s not in it, it won’t help you in the end.
We keep telling ourselves that business is all about doing the right thing, going down the list, ticking off all the boxes.
But as you find out over time, success in business is mostly an emotional and spiritual journey. And that’s what makes it so darn fascinating and worthwhile. Ticking off boxes is just the beginning.
