According to Gallup, 70% of employees are not engaged with their work.
That’s another way of saying, 70% of people working do not “own” their careers.
Ergo, if you can increase the amount of employee engagement at work, you’ll succeed more. A LOT more.
What’s really interesting is what happens if you don’t.
The people with talent and drive, they’re the ones with options. So when things start going downhill, they’re the first to quit and go elsewhere more promising… meaning the only people staying are the duds.
And nothing accelerates the downward spiral more than a talent-free company of duds.
