When you look back on the business you’ve created, what will be the thing you’ll be proudest of?
It won’t be the money. After a certain amount it just becomes so much paper.
It won’t be the products. They have their time, but then the time passes quickly.
The thing you’ll be most proud of, if you manage to pull it off, is the esprit de corps, the sense of purpose you managed to build amongst your colleagues.
That is the real gold everyone is chasing. To be able to say “We were there, and it mattered.”
