You notice this, as you get older:
That you can be terribly clever and right all the time, yet still be pretty unsuccessful.
How does this happen? Because although yes, you are clever, you’re just clever about one thing, say, politics or math or whatever.
But there’s a lot more to the world than just politics or math. The universe is very, very complex, especially with other human beings around. And because we allow ourselves to get so much validation from such a narrow band of human experience, we easily forget this.
And then we stop doing the real learning.
