“Permanent Revolution” is an old idea, first put forth by Leon Trotsky, back in the early days of the Soviet Union.
Well, as any history buff will tell you, it makes for lousy government policy. Understatement.
But for a startup trying to grow in capitalist USA, it’s a great ethos to follow.
Because it forced you to constantly be reinventing yourself in real time, learning, adjusting and pivoting as the market (a big, amorphous beast) keeps changing.
You need to stay nimble because the world is nimble. To pretend otherwise is a bad idea. Besides, it’s a lot more fun.
