We’ve all been there. Everybody at the party is talking so much, nobody can get a word in edgeways.
So in the end, plenty is said, little is heard, and even less is remembered.
That’s what TS Eliot was talking about when he wrote, “Where the ladies come and go, talking of Michelangelo”.
Communication without connection. It’s how we slowly put ourselves to sleep.
It’s annoying enough at cocktail parties. It’s fatal in business. Especially when it’s among your own people.
