Gapingvoid fan Arianna Huffington is on a quest to change how we look at sleep. Are we the only ones who noticed the irony of how one of the most tireless women in America, has made sleep her latest big, worthy cause?
From an article in Stanford Business:
“A good night’s sleep to Huffington is more than a way to feel sharp in the morning; it’s an essential step on the way to solving the world’s problems. ‘How much and how well we sleep in the coming year — and the years to follow — will determine, in no small measure, our ability to address and solve the problems we’re facing as individuals and as a society,’ Huffington wrote in a blog post (on her own website, of course) shortly after the book was published.”
More to the point, each week there is more and more science being published on the subject. It seems that a good night’s sleep not only is essential for doing great work, but is also a biological necessity.
Your mother was right 😉
