making all Microsoft software open-source would certainly alter the power balance between Microsoft and its consumers 😀

I just went to a relationships workshop for my next column. The idea there was that polarity was absolutely necessary (masculine and feminine energies). Resistance is what makes us learn. Well, those who recognize that resistance is there for a lesson, and not an obstacle.

Didn’t Machiavelli make much the same point:

I’ve never heard anything truer. We all yes, butters in this world, it helps us move on and become great mwah ha ha … erhmmm sorry about that..
