This is a business card design I did for my friend, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh.
Tony wrote a great book a few years ago called “Delivering Happiness”, which told the story about how “Culture” was so central to Zappos’ success, how it was so central a priority for the business.
And I agree. As gapingvoid works with more and more companies, we see that their problems aren’t about lack of resources or ideas; most of them have plenty of talent, plenty of great products and plenty of money.
What’s causing them problems is their culture, how they interact with each other.
How they “socialize” together in a working environment as yes, primates.
It’s too easy to forget it business that we’re all human, that we’re all doing things for the same reason as gorillas pick fleas off each other. To socialize with purpose.
And it’s this social dynamic that makes business so darn interesting. We think we just want the money; no, we want SO MUCH MORE than that.
And people who are successful understand that…
it has a purpose till u figure out things..
