Over at Things I Wish My Phone Did, I’ve started accepting other people’s idea submissions for new cartoons.
The first one I used was from David Herrold, pictured above. Thanks, David!
Sure, Things I Wish My Phone Did started life out as a small side project on behalf of my client, Line2, bit something tells me that it could be something much bigger, something much more interactive. There are a lot of people out there with strong ideas and opinions about “What a phone could be”.
All new ideas- both for new cartoons and ideas for where take the website- gratefully received. Just ping me on Twitter, preferably using the #ThingsIWishMyPhoneDid hashtag. This could be huge. Thanks!
Hugh, Twitter doesnt seem to be working for me at the moment. I hope you dont mind me posting my idea here instead:
Attempting to stop any (drunk) text possibly being sent after 2am on a Saturday night by abusing AutoCorrect. #thingsiwishmyphonedid
“I’m going to keep guessing “duck” until you give up. You’ll thank me in the morning”.
Not exactly wish they did (I just wish it wouldn’t drop calls)

The modern day practice of everyone sitting at the table at the bar and setting their smart phones on the table is somewhat analogous to gunslingers of the past setting their guns on the table while drinking whiskey……no????

What about iColt45 App?
varunambrose – almost exactly my thought – let it look sent but actually pop back up in the morning to check before it leaves my phone!
seems delicious like my cupcakes.
Hugh,
This IS going to be HUGE. You are on a great wave here. People love or hate their phones — sometimes in the same minute… I love the new site and theme. Keep at it, man.
Also, just actually read the whole book. In one sitting. Don’t know if that was a good idea, but WOW! Thanks for making a difference, in my life, and in countless others. Rock on!
