A couple of years ago, after a decade of keeping up with every latest book that was being published in my sphere of influence, I just gave up one day and started reading history books again. It suddenly seemed that Julius Caesar and Napoleon had more to teach me than the latest NYT bestselling marketing guru.
Ditto Shakespeare and Milton. Or Eliot and Austen.
