Like the old saying goes, at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
“But for how long?” I hear the young student ask. “When do I stop having to try so hard, and am able to just wing it, like the shiny-happy people on TV?”
Eventually, you realize that’s not how it works, and thank heavens for that!
You realize that the effort is the fun part. The final score is not the game.
That the gritty part is more interesting than the shiny part.
Oi vey! Here I am decades later and that fable about “if at first you don’t succeed try and try again” keeps me schlepping to the office every day for what….? This is why: The possibility that today will be the day my rainbow with a pot of gold arrives express delivery courtesy of Royal Mail. That is why!
Love you all!
