Another Rackspace-sponsored cartoon

I like this cartoon. It’s something that Scoble would would say.

Scoble works for Rackspace, too. Do the math.

Something interesting for me is how much of what you say about the corporate / entrepreneurish world applies to teaching.

Chances are, if I ask teenagers to “write an essay about XYZ” they will go straight to Google and copypaste something. It’s my fault if they cheat: after all, designing tasks is supposed to be my job. So, if I want students to acquire something more than Google skills, I need to assign creative tasks. In other words, I need to do something that Google can’t.
