incredible times

Send to Kindle

The cartoon above came to me suddenly, while I was writing the previous blog post about #Intel and my recent trip to  #CES Vegas.

Yes, we are incredible beings.

Yes, we live in incredible times.

And as long as there is still one person on the planet who doesn’t believe this, then there’s still work to be done.

That’s all I have to say. I hope TO GOD that you concur. Thanks.

    Hi Hugh,

I just saw your incredible beings in incredible times piece updated to fb.

I saw it in the midst of a live feed page full of requests for and responses to help in the midst of the unprecendented flooding which is going on in my town of Brisbane at the moment.

We really are incredible beings. Throughout the last 18 hours of so, emergency services have been putting out requests for volunteers, only to issue a statement 30 minutes or so later to say that they have been inundated with help, and no more is required.

Those living in higher and dryer areas are out helping those in low-lying areas, usually people they’ve never met, to sandbag or evacuate.

It’s an extraordinary time here in my state of Queensland. And we’re seeing a lot of extraordinary selflesness from some pretty extraordinary beings.

It struck a chord for me when I saw it appear on the feed — thought I’d let you know how pertinent it was.

    Kind Regards,

    Sarah Starrenburg

    I really like that Hugh.

I’d go as far to say it has always been this way and that would look soooo nice in my living room.

    Be wekk.

Thanks Hugh – I only found you a couple weeks ago – spent two days reading your sites – roaring with glee. You’ve struck a lot of chords here – almost every day there’s an uncanny syncronization going on. The relevance of the daily cartoons is amplified – an article picked at random applies right to my current thinking. Is this really going on or am I an idiot? Don’t answer that. Talk about incredible. You’ve inspired another artist blog. Thanks again for showing up in my brain. Wm

sometimes I ask myself why did I stop drawing. I use to say I was going to draw cars for a living. Why don’t I do that now?

    Hi Hugh,

I am from Malaysia, and came across your postings when i was surfing the web. My website is not up yet, so there is not much to see yet. However, i wanted to ask if you are keen to post your cartoons on my website only in focused to corproate learning. CCTrainignBrokers are Malaysia’s first training brokers that hunts for training consultants and package their consulting services to clients. The idea of the cartoons would make the concept of corporate learning more fun.

    COuld you please respond. Thanks.

    Great sentiment!

Funny, I’m just revisited a treasured author and personal guru from the 90’s — Robert Anton Wilson.

Almost finished “Quantum Psychology” — it really explores the “belief” part of your statement. Highly recommended.

hey hugh & fans, I just posted this cartoon on my fb page. A friend said it was fantastic, & I posted back the following thoughts on Hugh’s work, I think it’s worth sharing…
“Ooooh I know! I totally love hugh’s work! He’s so good at expressing things with poetic precision that can soothe the soul or slam you totally…depending on what’s on his radar at the time:) Great inspiration! xxn”

In my estimation we are staunchly out-numbered by the non-believers. So the question is: how do we convert them, or get them the hell out of our way?

Thanks for giving us standards to wave as we fight the good fight. :)

I so agree with this. My marriage of 23 years is stronger than it has ever been. I’m clean and sober. Little things in life give me great joy. And although my liberal friends thing the country is about to be overrun by stormtroopers, and my conservative friends believe the country is about to slide into the boundary-less abyss of tolerance, I’m pretty sure God’s not taking sides in this mess. The pressure’s off.
