  1. wow. i think it’s wonderful. and i love moleskine as well. i take mine everywhere.

  2. You drew this at the bar last nite? Looks great, but seems like it would take a long time to draw. I can only imagine the size of your bar tab!

  3. Double wow.

  4. John Piercy says:

    How many drinks Hugh ?
    This is a masterpiece …

  5. Jeremy Newton says:

Beautiful. I love the moleskin series. I can imagine getting lost in that type of art while creating it. Does that happen? Do you “zone out” when working on intricate pieces like this one?

  6. Thanks, Everybody…

Jeremy, do I zone out? Short answer: Yes.

Though I’m not really into Buddhism at all, I try to treat it a bit like “Zen” meditation… or something like it.

    Otherwise I’d just go mad…

  7. Fucking awesome. I like how you still have the passion to fight even though you’re now in control of your own life.

    Wicked.

  8. amazing!

Do you sit right at the bar? or do you sit in a booth? your own booth? A stool with your name on it?

Curious. Feel free to link me if this has been answered before as well.

I need to order some art soon or now now now

  9. Wow! That’s just crazy good…would like to see that pic. magnified :)

  10. Must have been a boring night… poor Hugh… ;-)

  11. Wow. This is very Jackson Pollock dude. Excellent!

  12. oh wow! i’m sorry, but my brain has been out-dazzled to say anything particularly smart! Oh wow!

  13. Someone needs to take a picture of you during the creation of one of these pieces and capture “the poetry in drawing.”

  14. incredible!

  15. How ’bout that Stormhoek logo in the lower right corner and you’ve got one hell of a spread ad.

  16. Awesomesauce.

    Never lose the fight.

  17. Wonder if the whole idea came before you started drawing or it struck somewhere on the way?

His work acknowledges the absurdity of workaday life, while also encouraging employees to respond with passion, creativity, and non-conformity...   MacLeod’s work is undeniably an improvement over the office schlock of yore. At its best, it’s more honest, and more cognizant of the entrepreneurial psyche, while still retaining some idealism.
