I'm currently working on a collection of art for what will be my first major gallery show. It's been a difficult creative process fraught with great inspiration and great anxiety. Cap this off with raising a 9 year old and a husband re-covering from a second heart attack and well I've been ripe for a meltdown. However your blog, your book, your humor and your insights have been immeasurably motivating and comforting to me. Just wanted to tell you that. And thank you, really really thank you.

One of my favorites! It's been my screen background for a year and half now. Though it's shared some time with pictures of my kids :)

I have a big-ass Evil Plan, but was stuck as to how to get all the fine details worked out. Last month I was hiking up Sul Ross mountain listening to your book, Ignore Everybody, on my iPhone, and the next thing I know, I'm back in college! I'm a 50 year old woman who thought her college days were way behind her. I think I was scared of feeling old being around such youth, but it's just the opposite. The best thing about going back to school is not the education (which is great), but the networking with other women my age who are also looking to start a new chapter in their lives. I think I've found my "tribe". I don't think I would have had the guts to step outside the box had I not listened to your book at just the right time.... not just in life, but more important, during registration! Getting out there, doing things you are afraid of, and sometimes even things you don't think will help is so important to finding your calling. You just never know when "divine intervention" will take place. As in your showing up at the SBDC workshop "Grassroots Marketing". Whoodda thought that one of the speakers in small town Alpine had written a book that was already in my Amazon.com wishlist???

A short and true post Hugh. We should all be getting to grips with those evil plans and get crackin'.

Time flies... and somehow it seems it got it's hands on a jet engine.
