[One of the cartoons from the book etc.…]
After the great success of the “Portfolio Number One” launch, we’ve decided to do another one i.e. Portfolio Number Two.
And like last time, all images chosen will be taken from my book, IGNORE EVERYBODY.
So if you’ve read the book already, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which cartoon(s) from the book do you think would make good “cube grenades”? Please feel free to leave a comment below, Thanks!

One of the best cartoons seemed to have been missed out in the book: “I don’t want to be friends — I want to eat you.”!

  2. david says:

The powerpoint cartoon — I think I probably laughed the hardest at that one — classic and way too true.

another really good one that surprisingly didn’t make it to the book was “haunted by his own potential” ! Excellent !

welcome to nobody cares… is definitely one of my favourites.
i also liked ‘i let jesus into my heart, no the bastard won’t fucking leave’ and ‘quality isn’t job one. being totally fucking amazing is job one’ quite a lot.

I agree with the first comment here…
“I don’t want to be friends — I want to eat you” has always been my favourite cartoon of yours, I have a copy on my desk at work :)

What a tough question! I loved all of the above, of course, and from the book, “3 little words,” is like an R D Laing poem. That and “how DARE you love me…” Those are deep. Then there’s the indictment of our possible growing inability to relate intimately: “Was it good for you?“
Scathing! “I no longer have feelings” is too true of our erstwhile money-grubbing/consumer society. Hopefully the silver lining of our crises – eco and financial – will usher in a global return (as in the Hundredth Monkey Theory) of said feelings.
You know I could go on.….….….…..

any cartoons rattling around with the “human tapeworm” theme? “Companies that squelch creativity…” is my favorite chapter, but the cartoons don’t fit the content exactly.

    Hugh–
enrich/simplify for a cube grenade and for business cards we can order.
I’ve just finished the book. It was f’ing awesome. I loved the format, style, and content. Its absolutely pertinent to anyone actively trying to do something special with their lives.
Thanks for putting it all out there.

Love the book and your cards. The format is great…an easy read with lots of humor and just the right amount of real advice and inspiration. Thanks!
