@Hugh — don’t know how much you’re planning to charge for your lithographs, but your global microbrand is worth heaps, so don’t sell your lithographs for less than $2,500 a pop.
@CT — had to know what Res Ipsa Loquitur meant so I looked it up. The thing speaks for itself, or the thing itself speaks. Thanks for improving my vocab. CT.

I see a real connection with what you are saying and how alot of Authors are approaching getting their works out on podcasts. Mur Lafferty, Scott Sigler, J C Hutchins are all going about building their own global microbrand.

If one considers ‘global’ to be english speaking males that wear big, brightly colored shirts — I’m there.
(BTW, when I jumped the corporate gig and followed my bliss it was in large part encouraged by your early posts on global micro brands — I read them and thought ‘yep, I want to do that’ — so, thanks!)

Hugh, thanks for this post. Maybe I’m in that “cold, hungry & desperate” phase right now, but it’s encouraging to see that even through it all you really are building a story. Isn’t that all a brand or microbrand really is anyway?

As an artist (painter primarily, but I have a cartoon site that complements the “brand”) all of these points ring true for me — though in my case I’d drop the word “extremely” in point #2. For now.

I have been building something of this like. It was not even really visual art related, at its start. Only in recent times have I really begun the work to transition it to my painting and drawings.
