Hey Hugh,
For some reason, you’re blog isn’t being attractive anymore, it lacked the ” Your original character ” it used to have in 2004, 05, 06 .
I used to look at your blog everyday, it was infectious, revolutionary and entertaining, you used to come with issues that we all share in common.
But now, the blog is becoming more technical and difficult to understand..

Nice of you to share your thoughts regarding “BLOGS AREN’T DEAD”. I’m not sure if blogs can go as far as to year 2015 but I can’t really predict the future but I do really really wish that blogs are the “IN” thing for the long term. Blogs is the way to showcase our profile, our enterprise and finally let people know who we are.
Right now I have a hindsight that only a few successful blogs can make it a household name in their own countries out of millions of blogs in this cyberspace including blogsphere. There is something which is not relatively within our control. Who knows year 2010 there might be some changes to web 2.0 to 3.0 transition. There is the very thing that I would like to know what will be next thing. I think we are equiped with information overload but we need to delete some information in our brains that are obsolete.
I believe some people would say Media Newspaper do carry some packing power because news media are more heard of but it takes sometime for Blogs to overwrite the media news that blogs have the power to carry the message rather than going for media news as it is targeted to wider web audience.
Just a thought and opinion. There is no right or wrong. Feel free to share.

**** those ‘Weird’ dudes are so hip: lazy sensationalist rhetoric is like fast food…
edible, if it has to be eaten
but ultimately composed of detritus, wholly unfulfilling & destined for obsolescence.
As usual gaping into the void delivers a sense of real world acuity: the beauty and future of blogging, perhaps mankind even, lies in the hands of every day heroes…
What I really really enjoyed the most about Wired though was the leviathan, screen blocking, uninitiated advertising hijack I experienced whilst attempting to read a page.
Killed two birds with one stone for me. Are media buyers still falling for that old 1998 Adw*nk?

Brilliant.
Growing up associating with finicky underground music listeners and studying literature, the “X is dead” rhetoric is very familiar. However, that’s art, something with value so subjective that sweeping claims seem more reasonable. Blogs, on the other hand, are tools. Either people are using the tools or not; the numbers speak for themselves. Therefore, when Internet fashion experts make these proclamations I generally think it’s a power grab on their part or an attempt to rectify a lonely high-school experience.
