  1. I have a cabin in a very small town (pop. 1000) in Gros Morne Park, Newfoundland and believe it or not, one of the local haunts make lattes there with a smile.
But it reminded me of the other silly things we city folk do, which is why I think everyone should have some small town living in them.

  2. Keith Handy says:

I feel this way any time I venture into a rural area… even if they’re not saying “fuck you, queer” out loud… and even though I was born in a rural area.

  3. RKR says:

…I am guessing, Texan’s don’t drink iced latte. Maybe if you ordered it in a dirty cup… :)

  4. Jasmine says:

I read about a certain coffee place that discontinued a drink because it wasn’t ‘CUSTOMIZABLE ENOUGH’.
    Now isn’t that queer too?

  5. Ben Grada says:

I’d like to move to texas ..

  6. I think it’s the other way around.

  7. peter says:

Such a sword you wield with card’d missives on small-town life and their prejudices. Combining metaphorical class-structure with homophobia is truly life-changing work!!!11

  8. dawbie says:

In my town that would be heard as, “One Ocelot, eh. Please?” Totally different.
Point Roberts, WA.…see the drawn map a few entries earlier…look for “winos”…

  9. Jeff L says:

I wonder if American Apparel put up the immigration ad because you live in Texas.

  10. Jason says:

I’m guessing that making a cartoon version of you would also be too queer for those hicks..

  11. Don says:

That is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.

  15. Country towns are all class. The mayor of Mount Isa in Australia is calling for “beauty challenged” women. He’s explains the blokes are not too fussy so you’re bound to get lucky. Hilarious stuff

  16. The mayor of a small Australian country town Mount Isa has called for “beauty challenged” women. The blokes are not too fussy in a town described as the “beer goggles” capital of Australia. It’s hilarious.

  17. Jack Yan says:

Apparently the single women of Mt Isa have hit back, Simon, saying that the blokes who are there aren’t particularly appealing, rating somewhere between neanderthals and a fart.
