<description>Not social objects, unless you count the IE8 revelations as the social object causing must conversation and consternation around the web.
Anyway, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.molly.com/2008/01/24/me-ie8-and-microsoft-versioning/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;http://www.molly.com/2008/01/24/me-ie8-and-microsoft-versioning/&lt;/a&gt; is a stunning critique of how Microsoft is failing at transparency that you (as part of the blue monster) should be looking in to.

<description>I have several social objects that always bring me in close contact with others and start great conversations.
My recumbant bike that I take on the riding trail. Everyone wants to look at it, talk about it, and I let anyone who wants to take it for a test ride. Never ending conversation starter. Sometimes you can&#039;t end it.
My fake fur coat. Total strangers comment on how nice it is and then they touch it, basically pet it, multiple times. I don&#039;t know what brings that out in people, but it is nice to be petted.
My iPhone. This starts a half hour conversation with anyone that sees it and wants to know how it works.
My pro grade digital camera. I actually let people hold it, look through the view finder, take some pictures, and look at them on the viewer afterwords. I tell all the chicks that I do professional nude photos and to call me if they want some free shots for their portfolio. I have more takers on this one than rejects. And I really am only after the photos. My wife and I are very happy together. I am trying to get Hugh into this hobby thinking he will meet some great friends this way ...
