crazy cathedral

[Drew this cartoon outside Sagrada Familia when I was in Barcelona the other week. Later it occurred to me that Sagrada F. is not technically a cathedral, but a church. Life is suffering etc.]

The best way to support gapingvoid is to sign up to "Hugh's Daily Frickin' Cartoon" Newsletter. A new cartoon sent out every weekday morning to your inbox [RSS version here.]. A wee chuckle to start your day off right etc.

  1. As I recall, it’s officially an “expiatory temple”… only one I’ve encountered. Still, being in construction for over a century should qualify it as a medieval cathedral.
It is one unbelievable edifice, any way you look at it.

  2. I remember when I was there having the thought that: if something like this takes so long — then I can take my time with my drivel as well.
Barcelona has always been one of my favorite international cities.
