I’ve read your blog for several months and love your business card drawings. This one, however, instantly became my new desktop. You’ve just made my morning brighter. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas.
Blue monster 2.0?
Lars, I was WAITING for someone to say that.
But it’s too obvious. MSFT “Eating the world” is no longer the timely story it once was. Those days are long past. There are more interesting MSFT out there now… And if you really understood the Blue Monster, you’d get that.
Zune? Red rings of death? Steering wheels of fire? DRM that doesn’t work? The coffee table of the future? An OS of the future that people are downgrading from? To me that’s the story MSFT is telling us at the moment. (I do like DX10 however — that seems to be the one area where Microsoft is doing some seriously kick ass stuff.)
Blue Monster always struck me as ringing hollow. Look at the leadership. Does Steve Ballmer want to change the world? No, he’s just another annoying sales guy who wants to lock me into a 50 year contract so he can get his bonus this month. I can see the macho man part of the blue monster thing appealing to that sort of guy — “Microsoft: Sell 100,000 units this month or go home!!”
Really original thinking there, Lars. Maybe you should take over Ballmer’s job…
Lol. I don’t think I could keep a straight face while talking about Microsoft innovation in my first press conference. I’d last about 10 seconds before I started giggling.
I’m giggling too, Lars.… but for different reasons
Come September I’m be hanging to see Hugh’s Revolution 2.0 or what’s under the tarpaulin.
Can’t wait to see what is in store from Hugh.
Will it be Revolution 2.0 or Go Home?
Aaaargh the suspense!
