greetings from suburban chicago

[The view outside my hotel window. Near O’Hare Airport, about 20 miles outside of Chicago. I missed my connecting flight to San Francisco last night. British Airways kindly paid for my room. Catching another flight in about 3 hours.]

  1. Kindly? What’s kindly about putting you up near a container depot after they dumped you at O’Hare too late to make the connection? It’s the least BA could do.
PS — another one for the ‘how crap the mainstream airline business really is’ deck.

Well, at least the sun is shining. We look forward to meeting you here in foggy SF!

Looks like you are walking towards the North Pier. I was just there, in the exact same spot, last week. You are giving me a severe case of Deja Vu. See the new Trump Development happening by WGN and the Wrigley building? You should have tried Dick’s Last Resort for a big ass beer and a bucket of chicken and ribs. Mmmm-mmm.
