Love the “yes, but” guy! You composed this cartoon perfectly, with the powerful all-caps truth in the sky dwarfing the whiny little voice of resistance.
I just went to a relationships workshop for my next column. The idea there was that polarity was absolutely necessary (masculine and feminine energies). Resistance is what makes us learn. Well, those who recognize that resistance is there for a lesson, and not an obstacle.
Manola: do the great ideas become even better as a result?
Didn’t Machiavelli make much the same point:
