greetings from seattle

[View from my hotel room. Very cool.]
Arrived in Seattle a couple of hours ago. Too insanely busy to write much, but here are some quickies:
1. I’m staying at the Edgewater Hotel. Flying out Satrday morning.
2. Tomorrow Stormhoek CEO, Jason Korman and I are speaking at the MarketSmart conference.
3. Thanks to Robert and Maryam Scoble for putting on such a swell geek dinner in SF last night. Great to meet you all.
4. Friday I’m in Redmond, visiting with some groovy cats at Microsoft re. next steps in The Blue Monster Series.
5. Friday night I’m up for a Seattle geek dinner, if anyone fancies the same. I was hoping for somewhere geek-friendly with good beer and local chow around Pike Market? If you fancy coming along, please sign up on the wiki.

The best way to support gapingvoid is to sign up to "Hugh's Daily Frickin' Cartoon" Newsletter. A new cartoon sent out every weekday morning to your inbox [RSS version here.]. A wee chuckle to start your day off right etc.

    Maybe a local?

I hope the trip is inspiring. Perhaps you can do something like the Blue Monster coming down off a tall Washington mountain (like a Yeti)and inter-mingling with people. OK, OK, I know, my ideas are cheesy. That’s why your the expert…and I am sitting here in my office at 10pm.
Well, I got my new gapingvoid update, now I am going home! Have a beer for me!

  4. have fun on campus Hugh. Did Robert show you the sticker/decals I gave him?

Steve, yeah, I saw the stickers. Very cool. He only had two left and gave one to Shel Israel… apparently they’re gold dust ;-)

Hugh — thanks for a great presentation at MarketSmart. It was definitely engaging, and made me think about how our B2B company can better engage people with our blog. Keep up the good work!
