Hugh — what’s your opinion on the following snippet from Mashable on the scoop in the NY Times? :-
“Google buys DoubleClick for $3.1 Billion, Microsoft ScrewedCongrats to the NYTimes for scooping the story that Google is proceeding with its rumored acquisition of ad network DoubleClick. The price was $3.1 billion, making this by far Google’s biggest acquisition to date — the YouTube buy looks small by comparison. Also note that this was in cash, while the YouTube deal was stock.
It’s a major, major loss for Microsoft, which is now going to fall even further behind in the ad game at a time when software and “old media” content is moving online in ad-supported form.”

I have not been to your blog for a while.
When I was here before.I spent a lot of time reading some of your longer posts such as the one on creativity.
Just wanted to leave a note that I like the new sidebar treatment you have. Tells a lot more about the site and yourself and it also makes the navigation easier.

fyi : unless you have been an Amazon.co.uk paying customer, you don’t get access to ‘search inside’ for Mark Earl’s book. Amazon in the UK don’t exchange customer information with Amazon in the US ?
