As years go by I have noticed, there is no longer a relationship between a company and consumer. Since almost everything is disposable, so is loyalty. Big companies may benefit by resuscitating "comfort brands" that they enveloped. Like righting a wrong, or being a hero, making a humble-gesture of this sort allows the public to rise to the occasion to show appreciation and give positive recognition. Be true to the original and "the feeling". Cutting corners will be met with "cutting remarks" and then it would be all for nothing. ...but, what do I know. Great cartoon, Hugh. Provocative cartoon.
