No so, RKR!
I actively seek out products whose manufacturers fit in with my own ideology. Also, products that taste like cheese. If a product fits my mindset and tastes like cheese, I love it! Okay, kidding about the cheese, but serious about that first part.

Provocative cartoon. As years go by I have noticed, there is no longer a relationship between a company and consumer. Since almost everything is disposable, so is loyalty.
Big companies may benefit by resuscitating "comfort brands" that they enveloped. Like righting a wrong, or being a hero, making a humble-gesture of this sort allows the public to rise to the occasion to show appreciation and give positive recognition.
Be true to the original and "the feeling". Cutting corners will be met with "cutting remarks" and then it would be all for nothing.
...but, what do I know.
Great cartoon, Hugh.

I've been visiting your blog for a while now, and I think I've become something of a voyeur. I'm addicted! So much so, that I'm finally redeeming myself by letting you know just how much I enjoy your cartoons. I especially love the current one, since my new passion is luxury brand management. It's a cartoon after my own heart. Thanks for the good laughs :-)
