the network

[Cartoon part of the Microsoft Blue Monster Series. Backstory from Steve and Kris etc.]
[Bonus Link:] Microsoft’s Steve Clayton responds to the recent “Microsoft is Dead” meme.

Overall I think it’s a well written post and has some very valid points. The main point is nobody fears Microsoft these days. GREAT — that’s progress I think. Why should people fear Microsoft? That’s what got us a bad name in the first place!

[P.S. I got the line, “The network is more powerful than the node” from Adriana.]

Hey Jon, yeah, it reminds me of the drawing I did for you two years ago… not to mention, “The network is more powerful than the node” sounds exactly like something you would say ;-)

“Networks develop around nodes that instantiate purpose and meaning” (learning from you ;-)
Someone recently asked me “how do you design a network” ?
I replied “You don’t”. But you do come up with a clear purpose, instantiate it at a node that has something useful to say or do about that purpose, and go from there …
