miami update…

Had lunch in New York. Currently in Miami on busi­ness. Flying to Aus­tin tomo­rrow mor­ning. Inter­na­tio­nal man of mys­tery etc etc.
[Bonus Link:] It seems ever­yone at SXSW is going nuts over Twit­ter.
Fair enough. One thing you even­tually learn about us Web 2.0 crowd, if you hang out with us for long enough: If we don’t have something to go nuts over every cou­ple of weeks, we start get­ting antsy.
“The memory of a gold­fish, with a bizmodel-on-steroids appli­ca­tion” etc.
“All is vanity” etc.
“Plus ca change” etc.
“I have the need, the need to feed” etc.
You get the picture.

    For deca­des the end­less list of Tele­vi­sion, Print Media, Word Of Mouth and com­mon sense have ham­me­red at anyone who pays atten­tion that any New York life expe­rience is an overw­rit­ten and thread bare cliche. Read the New Yor­ker, watch Let­ter­man and study Ame­ri­can His­tory. You can’t rot to death any fas­ter than to embrace the New York expe­rience. And you figu­red that out. So, enjoy Aus­tin. Get to the enter­tain­ment dis­trict and lis­ten to some really great Country Music, line dance once, eat some Bar B Que — they don’t have that in Lon­don — and rea­lize that there are some great Ad Agen­cies there. Maybe just hand­ling the print media purcha­ses and living on a nice 6 acre spread will set you free. Or not.

    Hi Hugh,
    I set up a Twit­ter account a while back and have only seriously star­ted using of late. I’m not sure what to make of it — it’s a bit like blog­ging lite.
    Also how do you dec­line the verb “to twit”, par­ti­cu­larly in the past tense?!
