gapingvoid: more evil than microsoft etc.

My evil plan goes public buah ha ha ha…
[Bonus Link] Johnnie Moore mentions the Road Trip:

It’s all a million miles away from high-powered branding from the top down. You let go of the trappings of high office when you follow this path, and get down to the grassroots, taking the risk of having some ordinary, rambling conversations in the real world, instead of broadcasting brand mantras over mainstream media. There are no comforting stats of impacts-per-thousands spent this way, just the reality of a certain amount of grind. Of course it’s not really a grind if you happen to like talking to people.

  1. Hugh, you’re lovely!
Let me know when you’re next in Cork, Ireland and I’ll organise a dinner of lovely people, which I promise won’t be 98% male. Though I hope it won’t be 98% women either!
In fact, last night, my friend Sheena and I started planning a magical mystery food tour for one evening next summer.
It’ll feature boats & grilling the fish you catch yourself on them, a garden filled with fragrant blooms, lots of twinkly lights and music to match. Why don’t you come!?

  2. “…evil, like the fruits of the devil…“
I think I’ve clocked the idea, but if not, the one thing that comes across is an honesty and a nakedness about promoting a business.
To quote Notting Hill towards the end when Julia says to Hugh ” Yes, I am a famous actress, but I am also just a girl who wants to be loved“
Nothing gets to the heart more than “stripping yourself naked” and opening up.
Can you see Coca-Cola being this honest?
Hugh, I’m not sure if people will really “get” what you have done for a while yet but you may have helped turn a big corner in getting unconventional new media techniques noticed!
It is such a shame I missed you in Stockport — I’d have given you a big hug after seeing this video!!

You felt like you had to announce that?!? Oh. It seemed fairly clear from across the pond.

  4. Joe Andrieu says:

What can I say to that except “I love it”?
    Keep on, Hugh.

  5. Mark Smith says:

Hey Hugh…just watched all the videos from your voyage…
    What an excellent road trip!
    Much luck.

  6. Penguin says:

Well Hugh — did it work? Big love?

  7. Happy Valentine’s Day, Hugh.

Nobody deserves to be ‘in love’ more than you, so this comment arrives with wishes for your every happiness.
    Re-vlogged this video entry.
Too bad YouTube videos don’t travel down the RSS pipeline; I would have loved to share this one with my RSS audience. As it stands, only visitors to the vlog will get to see it.

    I like the evil plan!!
Ladies… Hugh is an amazing person, very intelligent, a gentleman through and through, and has a very big heart. Few are worthy of his affection, though I fear he does not realize this.
(How’s that for an unsolicited plug?)
