Hugh, I read the cartoon so fast that I thought the last pane read: "Fortunately, I snapped out of it after 5 or 6 beers."
Anyhow, have a blast at the museum. It's a great idea to do these collective 'artists' dates' (in Julia Cameron's words.) I should be hobnobbing and watching films at Sundance Film Fest about the same time. Ciao!

Oh, I wish I was going to be there. When I lived in London, Texas Embassy was when I went if I was desperately homesick and wanted free refills. Seriously, the only reason for going was refills. And the food. And the margaritas.
Enjoy your Geek Day Out! I'll be busy drinking free refills in Chicago.

I see the Texas Embassy don't have Stormhoek on their wine list - you may need to have words, as a marketer maybe you could even go as far as taking in a complimentary bottle for the manager to try - I don't know if that kind of thing works, I'm not a marketing person myself.

Agreed, I'm not sure if Sunday was the best day to choose. No matter. Something to consider for next time etc.

Might work better for some of us out-of-towners if it were on a saturday instead of a sunday. Just a thought. Follow the lunch up w/ a sat night pub crawl, and you might have a real winner once in a while ...
