You should also check out Hidden Fortress and then watch Star Wars. I put my parents in The Portobello when they came to visit (mainly because it's just down the street from me) but it was humiliating quality for £150 a night. Earl's court is a bit far from here, but one thing is for sure, good hotels in London are really hard to find.
