I also discovered these cartoons by accident. And I love them. They are wonderful. Many of them are quite simple but gloriously entertaining. My favorie one is “Keep feeding me perfectly controlled explosions of joy and we’ll get along just fine“

Thanks Hugh, thank you for having this on the widget and for lighting up my blog with it.
I guess you don’t have an exact measure (and sometimes I think we can have only a slight suspicion) of how things like this can connect with people and in how many levels. From the “aha” moment with a post about wine marketing to the “ahahaaa!” moment staring at some red lines on white.
Well, I no one understands me, I don’t blame you. I liked that damn ‘toon a little too much.

Hi Hugh!
I couldn’t agree more. Sometimes this truth is so simple that people believe it morally suspect.
I think about it in terms of basic choices we make in our life: do we choose fear or love?
I wrote about it in a post awhile back, after becoming a Mom for the first time and realizing that I could let my life be overrun by fear if I let it.

Awesome. I have my own variation: If in doubt, trust. (Based on my decision at one point that I’d rather trust people and get burned occasionally than costantly be presuming the worst and living in fear. Not to trust blindly, but when sincerely in doubt, to give benefit of the doubt.)

Can’t say I agree with this one Hugh, but a noble sentiment all the same. I’d go for ‘if in doubt, choose’, but I can’t make up my mind.
