I have met many of those people.
But quickly they become people you want to avoid to meet really interesting people instead.

Can’t say I particularly enjoyed this one — it is a bti close to home, but I felt compelled to write something anyway.
I think there is a degree of understanding required here, rather than outright criticism.
You know, many people like Roger act like this because they are scared. Scared of having failed, scared of previously experienced terrible consequences, scared of having the event that caused them so much pain happen again.
Being a victim is a way of preventing yourself being put in the situation where the pain can come back.
A little bit of understanding is required here…even the online world is not 2-D.

  8. Jason says:

Ditto to Paul. Some people just put it all out there… as a way of filtering out “friends” who would be disappointed if they found this stuff out later.
