We have one of those types in our office, and he doesn’t even have a blog. Things like that just keep me in stitches which, in turn, keeps my resume fully updated.

  3. Stop giving away the secret, everyone will know why I started blogging!

  4. What’s a trackback?

  5. Hugh MacLeod says:

Oliver, give me $3000 and I’ll tell you ;-)

Eric must have been inspired by George.

  7. Hi Hugh.
First time to comment here, but I’ve been a long-time silent fan of yours, and I’ve used your cartoons to clarify my points in various occasions. In fact, a couple of days ago I forwarded one of your cartoons to the CEO of Nokia…
Your blog, especially your how-to-be-creative page, was one of the reasons why I started blogging last year. And it seems our little experiment with S60 blogs (S60 = software platform in Nokia smartphones) is becoming increasingly succesful.
So thanks for all the fish and take care,
     – tommi

    Thanks, Tommi =)
What cartoon did you send the CEO? Interesting.

  9. The one with the dinosaur :)
However, I’m not going to tell you what was the meteor and who was the dinosaur in that particular case…

  10. Gautam says:

    Ouch !
having turned a recent consultant (blogging is one of my service area) that cartoon was spot on !
My dilemma is how to price my wares :)

  11. That is a good question: how to price, and how do you gauge when you’re ready to become a consultant…?

  12. James Cotton says:

I’m sorry this just made my day. Thanks Hugh

  14. Trackbacks don’t work at Typepad — that’ll cost $6000 please

Nice! Big laugh and a new professional field in front of me :-D
Now, I truly want to be one of those. For $3000 (even CAD) I’ll do the job.
